Benefits of Kombucha

I have been drinking some kombucha this week. I like to add it in when I’m feeling like I need to aid in my digestion. With Thanksgiving being last week, I felt like I needed some help, Lol. Of all the fermented foods that you can add to your routine, kombucha is likely the easiest. It is easy to make (that’s what I here, but I’ve been scared), easy to buy, and has benefits you can gain from daily. In fact, you can drink just one kombucha a day and still get the needed benefits to see the difference in your own diet and weight loss plan. Though you may know the drink is easy to find, what you may not know is just how you can benefit from kombucha as a whole. Here are those benefits.

Improves Your Digestion

The first benefit of kombucha, and one of the most common reasons people choose kombucha, is improved digestion. Kombucha contains what people call good bacteria. This good bacteria can help clear your colon, break down foods, clear your digestive tract, and give you better routine digestion. This can lead to other healthy benefits in your body as well.

Reduced Inflammation

Inflammation can be caused by digestion issues such as constipation, IBS related systems, blockages, and toxins that may leak into the system from leaky gut. That inflammation can cause pain in your stomach and even in your chest. It can also be a contributing factor to heartburn and pain related to that heartburn. As the kombucha bacteria moves through your system, it can clear the digestive tract which reduces the inflammation throughout your system.

Reduced Joint and Muscle Pain

As inflammation works out your system, you can start to feel relief in muscle and joint pain that may have been directly related to that inflammation. With this reduced joint and muscle pain you can begin to become more active and feel less stressed and tense. The muscle pain can be a contributing factor to tension and anxiety which can be reduced through kombucha bacteria as well.

Reduced Fatigue

When your body is tense and full of anxiety, pain, and inflammation you will also feel fatigued. This fatigue is not something that can be easily cured with just sleeping. In fact, you may not be able to sleep with this type of fatigue. As you drink kombucha and do it on a routine daily basis, you will find that you have reduced fatigue and feel more energized during your day.

These benefits are just the tip of the iceberg. The truth is, if you are trying to clear your digestive tract and maintain a weight loss journey, then this is the go to option. Keep in mind, if you buy kombucha, try to stick to labels that state the drink is non-GMO. Also, the sugar content of kombucha varies greatly. Try to stick to ones with the least amount of sugar. One of my favorites is the Health Ade Kombucha. It’s organic and very low in sugar. I love the ginger lemon flavor. You can check it out on Amazon here. I also love Holy Kombucha. It’s made in Austin Texas. You can find it locally in the grocery stores.

Do you love or hate kombucha? What is your favorite?

Have a great week,

Tammy 🙂
