So, I spent the weekend at Lake LBJ visiting my aunt. I packed my snacks and had full intention of staying on plan while I was at the lake. I bought a new swimsuit that was not a skirt bottom. I have worn skirt bottoms for years, but I have decided to not obsess and embrace my body. I hate my legs which is why I always wear skirt bottoms. Anyway, I digress. Look at the beautiful sunset at the lake.
So, I did really well until we went to Bluebonnet Café in Marble Falls. They are ranked in the top 10 places to eat pie in Texas. I love pie. We bought a whole pie and took it home to eat later. Was I hungry when I ate pie? No. Do I love pie? Yes. I decided to eat the pie which I believe is fine. The problem is, when I eat sweets, it makes me want more sweets.
I woke up Sunday morning and my aunt had gone to get donuts. I never eat donuts. I think they are too sweet and they tend to make me more hungry instead of filling me up. Well, guess what? Since I had eaten pie the night before, I ate a donut. Ugh. Then later on the way home, I ate a fried burrito. One bad choice led me to make multiple bad choices. I do so much better when I just stay on plan.
On a positive note, however, I have lost 6.8 pounds in the last 3 weeks. I’m not obsessing over the scale and I’m only eating when I’m hungry, with the exception of this weekend. I had a set back, but I feel so gross today, that I’m perfectly happy and excited to get back on track today.
We are headed on vacation on Friday to Table Rock Lake in Branson, MO this weekend, and my plan is to stay on track and not gain weight on a vacation for the first time ever.
Talk to you soon,
